SPROUTING
Sprouting beans is the easiest way to feel like growing your own food without having a vegetable garden. It’s super easy and quite exciting (okay maybe not that exciting, but def satisfying). The ones I prefer doing are mung beans, qing dou.
Sprouting jars are available for purchase online but I find that reusing an old olive or jam jar works fine.
You can buy organic beans from shanghai organics.
Rinse the beans and soak in plenty of water for 12 hours, then drain and store in the jar with a muslin or stocking type cloth tied to the top rinse every 8 to 12 hours and when you feel they taste and look appetizing, stir fry, eat with salad or however you like. To stop them from growing you can store them in a bag or air tight container in the fridge. Very easy!
